Founder & Director

I’m Grace Brown, founder of SEND the Help CIC and a parent of four with lived experience of navigating the SEND system. I have also home educated some of my children for periods of their lives.

My professional background spans education, social care, and the charity sector, giving me a broad and practical understanding of how to support children, young people, and families. I have worked as an SENDCo Assistant, Early Help Lead, Student Engagement Officer, and within social care supporting care leavers, alongside leading a children’s charity.

I hold qualifications in Health & Social Care (Level 4), IPSEA Levels 2 & 3 in SEND Law, and Safeguarding & Child Protection (Level 3), and I am currently completing a Level 5 Diploma in Children & Young People’s Wellbeing. I am also enhanced DBS-checked, fully insured, and GDPR-compliant.

By combining professional expertise, formal training, and lived experience as a SEND parent, I ensure that our services are both effective and compassionate, making SEND advice, EHCP support, and enabling services more accessible for families and professionals across Devon and the UK.

Along with the other three Directors who all bring a wealth of education and social care experience, they also bring the lived experience of being parents to children with SEND.
