Applying for or navigating an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) can feel overwhelming for parents and carers. The process is full of legal jargon, tight deadlines, and difficult decisions – all at a time when you simply want the best support for your child.
That’s why I’m running an EHCP workshop at Barnstaple Library on 2nd October. This session is designed to give parents, carers, and guardians the tools and confidence they need to understand the EHCP process and advocate effectively for their child’s needs.
What we’ll cover:
When and how to request an EHCP assessment
What evidence to gather and how to present it
The legal test applied by local authorities
Common pitfalls and how to avoid them
Understanding your rights during mediation and tribunal
Q&A time for your individual concerns
Why attend?
This workshop blends my professional knowledge of SEND law with my lived experience as a parent, ensuring you leave feeling more informed, supported, and ready to move forward. It’s also a chance to meet other local parents on similar journeys – because no one should have to navigate the SEND system alone.
Spaces are limited, so please do register in advance.
I can’t wait to welcome you on Wednesday 2nd October at Barnstaple Library and support you in taking the next steps in your EHCP journey.
